Honoring the Life of Elias Timothy Morrero— Forever Our Hero

“The brightest light whose fire was extinguished far too soon. Help us honor his life, his love, and the future he never got to live.”

Our world has been shattered.

On June 19th 2025, our beautiful son, Elias Timothy Morrero, was taken from us at just 18 years old—his life cut short by senseless gun violence. A vibrant, kind, driven young man with his whole future ahead of him… gone in an instant.

Elias had just graduated high school with honors. He was the Captain of his Fire Academy class—a true leader, full of ambition, discipline, and heart. He dreamed of becoming a firefighter, of dedicating his life to helping others. He was on the path to greatness. And now, we are left with only the memories of the incredible young man he was and the even greater man he was becoming.

But what hurts the most is not just what we lost—but what the world lost. A son. A brother. A friend. A protector.

He was a loving big brother to five younger siblings—Elianna, Elissia, Everly, Elijah, and Ezariah—and a younger brother to Ashonte. who adored him. They looked up to him as their hero. And now, they are left with questions no child should ever have to ask, and pain far too deep for their young hearts to understand.

As his bonus mom, my heart is in pieces. And while I am grieving beyond words, I can’t begin to imagine the pain his mother, Angelique, and his father, Bobby, are carrying. This was their firstborn. Their light. Their heartbeat. There is no pain like the pain of losing a child—especially one so full of life, promise, and purpose.

This kind of grief is paralyzing. It is unnatural. It’s something no parent should ever have to endure.

We are reaching out for help—not just for funeral expenses, but to support our family as we try to navigate this unimaginable loss, and to honor Elias in a way that keeps his legacy alive. Every donation, every share, every prayer matters.

Please help us give him the farewell he deserves, and help us hold space in this world for the memory of a young man who was truly destined for greatness.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, and compassion.

With love and broken hearts,
