Hi my name is Teaja, and and I’m writing this with a broken heart as the older sister of two boys whose lives were tragically taken far too soon. My brothers Jordan and Antoine Boykin, meant the world to me & my family. It kills me and my family that we couldn’t protect them when they needed us the most.

Tonight, our family experienced every family’s worst nightmare. My two younger brothers, just 14 and 17 years old, were killed in a targeted shooting. Two young lives, two brothers, two sons, and two entire futures taken away in an instant.

There are no words to describe the pain our family is experiencing right now. My brothers deserved the opportunity to grow up, experience life, chase their dreams, and make memories. My father and my stepmother should never have to face the reality of burying their children.

Unfortunately, along with the unimaginable grief of losing both of their very young sons, my parents are now faced with the financial burden of arranging two funerals. This is something no parent should ever have to worry about, especially while grieving such a devastating loss. I have 3 other even younger siblings that still need a financial & emotional support system.

I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my dad and stepmom to help relieve some of that financial burden and allow our family to give both boys the proper farewell they deserve. All donations will go toward funeral and burial expenses, memorial arrangements, and any additional costs associated with laying my brothers to rest.
