“Whenever there is a human in need, there is an opportunity for kindness and to make a difference” Kevin Heath
The community at Forest Hill Village in Tacoma, Washington is in need of your help. Your generosity and kindness can help the residents restart their lives after a devastating fire destroyed so much.
Shortly after 1:00a.m., Monday, April 19th, 2021 a roaring fire broke out. 75 people were displaced. While the Red Cross stepped in to help them find temporary housing, several people do not know where they will go next. In addition to losing their homes, people lost all of their belongings, some that can never be fully replaced.
We want to give a shoutout to several heroes of this story. The Tacoma Fire Department worked over six hours to put out the fire and saved lives. The Red Cross acted quickly and helped find temporary homes. Also, Alecia Bennett, Property Manager and Salvador Ortega, Maintenance Supervisor at Forest Hill Village who are supporting their residents during this difficult time. Salvador sprung out of bed during the fire to help wherever he could and showed tremendous support for the community. His home was impacted by the fire but he chose to focus on others and helped many people get to safety.
The Forest Hill Village residents need your help to begin the recovery process. Many of the individuals affected need to get settled quickly so they can continue to work, go to school and take care of their families. Your donation will help make a huge difference to help them begin to establish new homes, replenish the things they lost and focus on moving forward.
Now the community needs you!
Please be one of the heroes of this story. Your help will show the individuals affected that we care and it will help them move to the next stage in this devastating time. Any donation helps our residents get back on their feet.
Forest Hill Village Apartments and Pacific Living Properties is making an initial contribution of $10,000.
Thank you for your time, support and donation!
All funds will be disbursed to the residents that have been displaced.
