Northern Ontario is facing devasting forest fires, displacing communities and putting countless lives at risk - including the lives of stray and surrendered dogs along with other animals that were forced to be left behind during evacuation. Northern Connection Rescue is fundraising to help cover the cost associated with flying dogs trapped in these communities to Thunder Bay and then and then transporting them down to Southern Ontario where they will be placed into foster care vetted and eventually posted for adoption.
