Forest Fire Destroys My Brother‘s Home

Donation protected
Good Morning!! My name is Chaille Lawrence Clemmons. I’ve done one GoFundMe in my life and it was to help a young couple with early birth twins. PLEASE, PLEASE take the time to read this…and for a minute put yourself in my brother & sister-in-law’s shoes. Just imagine what they have gone through . Please.

Four years ago 2/10/20, they lost their daughter (my precious niece) in a car accident leaving behind a husband, 14 mo old, 3 year old & 6 year old. That has been absolutely crippling for the two of them & frankly our entire family . Chad & Ruby haven’t recovered from this and are still in a hole.

In October of this past year 10/2024 (5 months ago), my brother, the ONLY person bringing in income & a traveling Trama ICU nurse, suffered TWO strokes. He is only two years older than me (55 yrs old). THAT was devastating & they had to get financial help as my brother had to re-learn to do so many things in order to go back to work (which JUST happened)!!

If that hasn’t been enough, in the early hours of just this morning, he was working the night shift at the hospital and got an emergency phone call. There was a forest fire where their tiny home they have been working on in Monticello, KY. The Wayne Co Fire Department & the US Forestry are there helping to put out the fire & save the log cabin they started building to escape the world after Jessica died. HUNDREDS of hours have gone into building this home.

They lost almost every tool they were using to build this home. The tires on this tiny home (log-cabin), melted. The water used to save their home has damaged just about everything in their home. Lastly, it destroyed the electrical supply they fought for over a year to provide them power….so they now have no electricity & no power to their refrigerator or freezer. They live of the land and their farm animals. They truly have lived off the grid to escape their pain of losing Jessica. This was their Sanctuary!!!

Now this. Chad said the damage is horrific (I’ve seen the photos). They are completely devastated as once again, they feel like they’ve lost EVERYTHING . They truly are at the end of their rope and cannot understand why God has allowed such horrible things to happen over & over. Losing Jess, my brother’s double stroke & now this (I forgot to mention they lost the home and EVERYTHING on May10,2023 in a tornado make home). I thought my situation was horrible enough. But I have a roof over my head & a bed to sleep in.

After literally imagine being in their shoes…where do you restart? How would you feel. Not a single penny in insurance!! Barely any money in the savings due to Chad’s stroke.

I have NEVER asked for handouts in my own situation. God has provided. But I AM ASKING for ANYTHING you can give for my brother & sister in law. They have ZERO hope right now. They are both lost beyond words. I can’t imagine being in shoes and honestly ….. I wouldn’t want to. Can you use the money for your morning coffee to donate?? PLEASE help them & show them that through all of this tragedy….Jesus IS STILL THERE!! Thank you for taking the time to read this !!
