Forest City Regional PA FBLA Student makes it to nationals!

Donation protected
Hello Dear Reader,

I have been presented with the opportunity to compete at the FBLA national level in Anaheim, CA this summer 2025 after placing in the top four at States in Hershey, PA this April. This includes three full days of educational workshops, seminars, and competitive testing. Future Business Leaders of America is a career and technical student organization with over 215,000 high school members.

I would be honored and so grateful if you were able to contribute in any way. Every dollar will bring me one step closer to representing the state of Pennsylvania and my school district, Forest City Regional.

Below is a letter from my FBLA advisors at Forest City Regional:
Forest City Regional Future Business Leaders of America is proud to announce that one of our members placed in the top four of the state and now qualifies to compete at the National Competition in Anaheim, California. In December, 40 members competed at Keystone College at the Regional Competition. Out of those 40 members, 21 qualified and then competed at the State Competition in Hershey in April. This is where Ms. JoEllen Jones placed in the top four in the state in Intro to Event Planning, which now leads to her representing Forest City in Anaheim, California. This accomplishment has not taken place in Forest City in 10 years.
This is a remarkable achievement for our school community and personifies the dedication of our FBLA members. The National Leadership Conference is held in Anaheim, California and includes three full days of educational workshops, seminars, and competitive testing. This is an opportunity that gives the student a clear vision of what it means to be a successful leader in a multitude of career pathways.
As expected, this trip comes with a hefty price tag. The State Competition in Hershey that took place in April cost approximately $650 per student. This depleted FBLA's account and came at a cost to students as well. Ms. JoEllen Jones's trip to Anaheim will cost approximately $4,000. We have been working diligently this year to raise funds by selling flowers from Blueberry Hill, pizza from Revello's, and running a snack cart daily in school.
With all of the costs we incurred this year due to Forest City Regional Future Business Leaders of America's accomplishments, we are asking for student sponsorships. Sponsoring businesses will be publicized by local media.
Any and all sponsorships will be greatly appreciated by the student attending, her family, and the Forest City Regional School District.
Community Service and School Activities:
From a very early age, I have been encouraged to be involved in community service such as canned food drives, community cleanups, distributing free Easter baskets to families in need, volunteering with Penn State Extension to restructure eroding waterways, volunteering with my school's produce market, working with the Forest City Lions Club, aiding in the construction of a beach area at Kennedy Park, working with my local library to initiate a youth birding program, and completing over 100 hours of community outreach through the Wildlife Leadership Academy, an education-based camp geared toward the outdoors and conservation that I attended under a full scholarship. I am actively involved in my school as a member of FBLA, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science, Ski Club co-captain, Envirothon, Art Club, and Softball. I plan on continuing to put great effort into giving back to my school and my community as much as I can.

Thank you for your consideration.
