A dark, twisted descent into the edges of desire, The Forefather delves into the world of occultist Aleister Crowley and his obsessive fixation on newly engaged Ottie Edwards.

Inspired by the 1907 novel The Magician by W. Somerset Maugham, The Forefather explores the life of occultist Aleister Crowley, a pioneering figure of 19th-century ceremonial magic, and his fixation on newly engaged Ottie Edwards. Set in 1905, The Forefather explores the dangerous awakening that arises when one steps into their power.

This film is my invitation into a world that has always called to me — a world that has magic laced into its very bones. The Forefather is my way of exploring not only that pull for something extraordinary, but also the urges and desires that shape and destroy us.

Donations will go directly towards bringing this vision to life — build a world that feels as haunting and immersive as the story itself. This short film will serve as a proof of concept for a larger feature, a story I believe deserves to be explored in all its glory.
