Forced to Strike without pay and it's my daughter's B-Day

Hi folks. Thank you for reading.

I never thought I'd ever have to do this, but these are strange times.

I'm part of a union who has voted to strike (incidentally, I voted *not* to strike) but all the same the majority of union members spoke in favor and now to the picket lines I go. The union isn't paying strike pay (though even if they did it would be a pittance). If it were just me, I wouldn't be here. But I'm the main breadwinner for my family- my wife and two kids. All of whom are on medication and all of whom rely on me to pay the bills. To add insult to injury it's my Daughter's birthday this month and... I honestly don't know what I'm going to do.

I'm trying to find some kind of work, but the fact that I can't commit to any kind of longevity (I need to be available the instant things are resolved to be back at work) has put a real kink in finding normal employment. I'm also forbidden from doing what I'm trained to do by my union which makes it even harder to find good paying work.

I want to provide a safe environment for my kids (my daughter who will be turning 12 and my 9 year old son) and wife. I'm sorry to ask, but if I didn't try *everything*, I don't think I could look them in the eyes.

So, please. If you have a little to spare, I would ask that you help me give my daughter a great birthday. She really wants to become a digital artist and she dreams of having a fancy drawing monitor. She's also a little book gremlin. Help me make sure she doesn't worry (she has anxiety, ADHD and Autism), which me being on strike might cause her to do. She's struggled with mental health this past year and has fought hard to be in a good place.

If I hit the target, that would provide for my family for the month- which I sincerely hope will be the utter maximum that this nonsense will be going on for. Funds received will go to our Bills (home, car, food, phones, etc) and her Birthday. If by some miracle I raise more, I'll hang on to it (in case the strike goes longer than a month), and if it's not required, I'll put that money into a college savings account for my kiddos as a present from you generous folks.

Your help could mean the difference between my family feeling safe in uncertain times or entering into a debt spiral that could take years if ever to climb out of and the unfortunate effects that such financial despair has on our family.
