Forbes Union Walkout Fund

Donation protected
From Jan. 25 to Jan. 29, unionized editorial staff at Forbes magazine are walking out to tell the company that it is time for them to stop devaluing our work.

Walking out means we may be losing our paychecks for the three days we walked out. While this is an important sacrifice on the road to a better contract, many members with stagnant salaries during negotiations will need help getting by.

Members may request funds, which will be disbursed by a committee of leaders in Forbes Union. This fundraiser is member-led and is not affiliated with the NewsGuild, which may not raise money outside our dues.

Our members are still requesting funds, and we do not know how much we will need, but any donations that exceed these needs will be saved to help members if we strike down the road. If we do not strike, we will donate the extra money to another labor cause or strike fund.

Our hard-working members don’t deserve to face financial hardship for fighting to get the contract they deserve. We’re thankful for your donations, which will help us win this fight.

DISCLAIMER: This action is being conducted by an individual worker to assist colleagues and is NOT being undertaken by or under the auspices of the NewsGuild-CWA. The union is not collecting or administering funds and has no connection to this fundraiser.
