Forbes Family Medical Emergency

Hi, my name is Kelli and I am Scott's sister in-law. I am reaching out to you all to let you know that the Forbes family needs our help. I have heard more people then I can count say that if they are in trouble Scott is the first person they call. He goes out of his way to help anyone he cares about and if you are reading this you probably have asked him to help in some way and know this to be true. It is time for all of us to return the favor and help him. I know he would never ask this but I feel like I have to.

You may have heard that Scott needs to have a total gastrectomy and it is happening very soon. The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th.

If you are like me, you have no idea what that is. It is the complete removal of the stomach. He has a mass in his stomach that can't be removed without removing his entire stomach. This is a major surgery that will require him to be in the hospital for weeks and out of work for months.

Anyone that knows Scott knows that he is hard to keep down. He will be wanting to return to work as soon as he thinks he can push himself to do so. The problem with that is it is very dangerous. The healing process will be long. His body will be learning to function on food processed a completely different way and at very small portions at a time.

THIS IS WHERE WE COME IN! I believe that if we can raise enough money to cover their monthly bills, Scott will not feel the added pressure to push himself harder than he is supposed to. I am hopeful that we can come together to support for him, Leslee, Kayla, and Jaxon. This is going to be a very emotional and financially hard time for them. I am asking everyone to share this page, donate, pray for them, cook meals for them or grab take out if you are in the Grants Pass area, or anything else you can think of that would be helpful but not intrusive. They are going to need as much support as we can offer.
