Akasha Reisinger, affectionately known as "Kasha," is the 5-year-old daughter of Kristal Reisinger and Elijah Gauna. In July of 2016, Kasha's mother suddenly went missing from the town of Crestone, Colorado. Kristal is yet to be found, and law enforcement suspects foul play.
Kasha is living with her loving father, Eli, and his family. Having just started Kindergarten, Kasha has reached an age where she's realized her life is different from many of her classmates' lives. She misses her mother dearly and has begun asking difficult questions about her whereabouts. Kasha has a wonderful and supportive network of people to guide her, but still, she has been dealt a difficult hand at a very young age.
One of the many consequences of Kristal’s disappearance is that Kasha is now financially supported by only one parent.
We've learned so much about Kasha and her family throughout this process. Our hope is to provide something positive for Kasha, despite this tragedy, by offering some financial assurance for her future. Of course, nothing can replace the presence of Kasha's mother, but we'd like to do what we can to help. Whether it be for college, living costs, or healthcare, 100% of these donations will go directly to a trust for Kasha.
This has been an overwhelming and emotional time for Kristal's family. We hope this campaign will show how many people care about finding Kristal and not allowing a child to grow up without any answers. Please join us in supporting Kasha's bright future. Thank you all for your continued care and support.
