#ForAdrianne, Heart Surgery Recovery Expenses

Born with mitral valve prolapse, Adrianne's poor little leaky valve has done its best, but now its best isn’t good enough. An excessive amount of blood is leaking back into her heart, a condition called mitral valve regurgitation, and now the valve needs repair. Without it, fatal congestive heart failure is imminent. While she prepares for and recovers from extensive open-heart surgery, she lacks income and her household needs financial support. The costs are so expensive - please help her:

• keep housing and utilities covered

• buy food

• pay medical bills

• repair her car which is needed to get to appointments

• pay for transportation when she's physically unable to drive

• get equipment to make her home accessible

• buy any supplies needed during recovery

 

Every night, Adrianne goes to sleep, unsure if she will wake up. Her energy is consumed with managing care and dwindling finances when she does. She pushes through, but it takes a toll. Our health care system is debilitating, disabling, and demoralizing. Please advocate for disabled people and universal health care so that no one has to be in this position ever again.
