Fundraiser for Rel
Donation protected
Meet Narelle ‘’Rel as she likes to be called ‘’and her daughter Bec her carer.
I am fundraising with friends to help with the financial difficulties facing Rel and her family with her diagnoses of ‘’Advanced Terminal Bone Cancer ‘’ time is extremely important!
Rel age 49 is my dear friend and she is the perfect example of a kind modest generous loving caring mother of three Chris age 25, Bec age 23 and Sammy age14, friend, sister and daughter. Rel was diagnosed with breast cancer which would turn out to be from the BRACA1 breast cancer gene in June 2002 a week before her birthday.
Rel recovered after treatment and went on with her life up until a few weeks ago when her pain was so bad she was forced to get tests done. Rel was working nursing Al a quadriplegic, running her house hold, looking after her dogs Chopper, Max, Max has epilepsy and a puppy Fawn before she was forced to stop work .
Rel has been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer 13 years after recovering from breast cancer, her family circumstances over the last few years have been devastating her father passed away August 2014 her two sisters Lou age 52 and Wendy age 53 were diagnosed with breast cancer 2 days apart this year, one of Rel’s sisters Wendy has the BRACA1 gene along with their mum Jan herself and her daughter Bec.
Bec also has been diagnosed with Idiopathic intracranial hypertension, it's a rare disease and they don't know a lot about it though she produces too much cerebral spinal fluid and the pressure inside her skull is too high which causes constant crippling headaches etc. worst outcome is blindness so they do things like lumbar punctures drug treatment and stents and shunts to try treat it which is about 50% successful, Bec has also broken her leg twice the last year.
It has been a heart breaking year or so for Rel and her family please help make a difference and donate to help her life less stressful and a little easier, Rel is in constant pain her bone cancer is very advanced and she is unable to do too much.
Donations are for Rel’s cost of living, any medical costs, housekeeping, her half-done renovations including her bedroom and the costs involved with her dogs and for one last trip away trip away with all her family and close friends.
All donations are greatly appreciated if anyone would rather donate vouchers or a service if you know of a company willing to help please pass this on and contact me here to organize or collect donations.
Auction pieces for ''A Night for Rel'' fundraiser are need also, these could be artworks , trips a service anything that will fetch a great donation for Rel.
If anyone knows of generous companies wiling to help with ''A Night for Rel '' in any way please pass on the details .
