Hi, my name is Tina Young; I am organizing this fundraising for my brother William Young. William (Bubba) became sick a few weeks ago with what he thought was a common cold. He tried to fight it off and get better by taking over-the-counter cold/flu medications, but nothing seemed to help. With much encouragement from family, he went to the hospital in Concord on Thursday, November 10th, to have some tests done and get the correct medication needed in hopes of feeling better soon. On Friday, November 11th, William began receiving the necessary medication to help fight pneumonia (which is what he was diagnosed with) and fluid in his lungs. As we, his family, left his side Friday night to let him rest and returning to see him and his progress improving Saturday morning. Sadly, I (Tina Young) received a phone call early Saturday morning from the doctor stating my brother's (Bubba) condition had turned worse. The doctor continued to say his heart had stopped, and they were doing all they could to keep him here. By the time I arrived at the hospital in Concord, God had already called him home. Those who genuinely knew William “Bubba” (family and friends) knew he had a BIG heart and would do anything for anyone when he could. William never complained or talked about what he had to do. He just did it. My brother “Bubba” (William) always looked out for the family and made sure we were good, even if that meant giving his last. So now I (Tina Young), William’s sister, ask for your help to help me give my brother the proper burial he deserves. I know he would appreciate any help, and I will forever be grateful.
