For Viv and Kurt ❤️

Hi, Dave and Narelle here and we are fundraising to help our beloved Mum Vivienne, also known as Viv and Maviv and her partner Kurt.

We know it’s Christmas and many of you locals have been through a lot but we appreciate anything you can do to help.

In the aftermath cyclone Jasper resulting in severe flooding, community members face the daunting task of trying to rebuild their lives. We feel for you all. Viv and Kurt’s only thought was save the animals which they did successfully. That left them with only the clothes they were standing in as the flood waters took everything else. 

After spending the last few days emptying out Kurt and Viv’s humble home of 25 years, it has been heartbreaking. Flood waters lapped the ceilings in most of the home, destroying everything it engulfed. For many years Viv, supported by Kurt, unselfishly donates her time and sponsors many QLD events. President and secretary of a local dressage club, donating trophies and creating amazing displays for cat shows every year from Cairns, Mt Isa down to Brisbane just to name a few. In addition, their love for animals, has them rescue and home off the track thoroughbreds, cats and dogs. It is very unfortunate that the home was not insured for such an event.

Maviv is a woman with a heart of gold, we have no doubt that she has touched the hearts of everyone who knows her and this is an opportunity to show her your love and if you don’t know her empathy for a kind and giving person.

She will be able to put a claim in for some assistance for housing repairs but this money we are fundraising for is to replace clothes and household items.
