If you know Renee, you know that Cash was her heart and soul... Almost exactly 4 years ago, Renee rescued Cash from a kill-shelter. Their bond was instant, they chose each other, and the loved shared between them was larger than life!

In early December, Renee's sweet pup started showing a variety of symptoms and wasn’t his normal Cashy self, which was so heartbreaking to watch. Therefore, Renee took him to a variety of vets and specialists looking for answers. From the Quad Cities, Emergency Vet Clinics, and a Cedar Rapids animal hospital, no one could find answers. Tragically and shockingly, after another Emergency Vet visit prompted by a seizure, Cash passed away in the middle of the night on Friday, December 30. A piece of Renee is now missing. On top of this heart-shattering loss, she’s faced with many medical bills.

Renee has not asked us to do this. We want to support her the best we can given how traumatizing this month has been for her. She's had to miss work and paid for these visits out-of-pocket as pet insurance had not kicked in yet. Renee did absolutely everything possible to find answers and help Cash, but still had this tragic end. Let’s show Renee and the late Cashy-man some love and give whatever we can in his sweet memory.
