For Ungluck aka Vegata Gti aka Chris

Many of you will recognize the gray big turbo mk1 Jetta aka Ghost that Chris built some 15 years ago. Many of you also likely know the man behind the car.. but many also may not. Chris has been around the entire East Coast, Colorado, Hawaii, PNW, California and Texas. Chris has always been a major resource for the VW, especially mk1 and 1.8t community the last 20+ years. If you look at almost any new thread on vortex or Facebook etc in these categories he's one of the first to chime in with advice.

Anyone who knows Chris knows he’s as loyal a friend as they come, someone who will go well out of his own way at his own expense to help others.

Chris recently had a medical emergency that has resulted in several surgeries, weeks of hospitalization, and an inability to continue working as a race engineer and fabricator at this time. Even as the bills add up he has a long road for recovery with several more surgeries necessary in the coming months, at a time when he can’t work for the foreseeable future.

If you know him, you know he will never ask for help himself. You also know Chris and his wife love their dogs like children. On top of Chris’ struggles, several of their dogs also need expensive treatments.

Chris has listed his Mk1 for sale to try to offset these bills. In addition to that, we are asking for the VW/ dog community, anyone who knows Chris, to consider a donation on his behalf. Any bit will help and will go directly towards Chris and his wife being able to cover medical expenses.
