Hi, my name is Bailie Merichko and I am Tyler’s younger sister. I never in a million years thought I would be writing this, but yesterday, my big brother passed away unexpectedly and it has shattered our hearts.
Tyler was more than just my older brother, but my best friend and a shoulder to lean on. He was the funniest, most caring person that Ive ever met. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, despite the darkness he felt in the world around him.
As we try to process this, we’re also facing the heavy funeral and memorial expenses. As many of you may know, Tyler, Dalton, and I have been helping my dad care for my pap for the last few years. My dad been paying out of pocket for my grandfathers care and financially, things have not been great. This loss has truly broken our hearts.
Tyler had a heart that reached people in ways words can’t explain. He was the kind of person who would give you his last dollar, who’d stay up with you through the hardest nights, and who always managed to make people laugh even when he was struggling himself. He deserved so much more from this world, and the least we can do now is lay him to rest with the love, care, and respect he gave to everyone else. We want to give Tyler a service that truly honors who he was but the costs are more than our family can carry on our own right now.
If you’re able to donate anything at all, it would mean so much. Every little bit helps, and even just sharing this page would be a blessing. All funds will go directly toward funeral costs and helping my family make it through this time.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for keeping Tyler’s memory alive with us.
With love, Tyler’s little sister,
Bailie
