Hi my name is Amanda , myself and my partner Wayne are looking to raise funds to help us cover travel expenses and bills.
Let me tell you our story.
Our daughter Esmae Rose age 4 months was recently taken ill with bronchiolitis (now being told its RSV which is where bronchiolitis comes from). After being taken to Peterborough hospital it was discovered that she also has a hole in her heart. We later discovered she has 1 small hole, 1 large hole a narrowed ventricle and a valve that should have closed after birth and didnt which means blood is flowing the wrong way and travelling to the lungs and not the way it should after going to the lungs. Because of all these issues she will need open heart surgery. She has been transferred to Leicester Royal Infirmary hospital where they can clear her infection and then to have heart surgery. As you can imagine this was a huge shock and completely unexpected. Due to this my stay in Leicester may be lengthy as I will be staying with her during this time. On top of this my partner is self employed and is currently not able to work as he is looking after my older daughter as I cant be there. All this means all my remaining money has to go on things I need while I'm here I have no transport here as I came in the ambulance with my baby. Peterborough being almost an hr away from Leicester
I have set the target high although I don't expect that much I would just be grateful for any help anyone can give at this difficult time to help me cover food, travel and any bills I have been unable to cover due to unexpected outgoings being here.
We really would appreciate any help anyone can give to get us through.

*UPDATE* Friday 6th Jan 2023
Almost a week later we are still here Esmae is still currently ventilated hoping to remove soon. Still has infection although it is going they are still getting lots off her chest. We are due a meeting I'm told Monday to discuss her heart and the plans going forward after her infection is cleared.
*UPDATE * Sunday 8th Jan 2023
we have managed to get some after school care for my eldest so my partner can work the odd day.
However it's looking likely that Esmae surgery will be soon so work will again stop for a bit while my partner joins me in Leicester for the surgery day.
She has been moved to the cardiac ward in preparation for surgery and a meeting is being held tomorrow to discuss the next steps.
UPDATE Tuesday 10th Jan
Esmae did not go to cardiac they sent her back due to her breathing difficulties and unfortunately has had to go back on the ventilator.

My partner is back at work full weeks as my eldest daughter has gone back to school fully ,All being well and there are no changes our baby is due her first Operation on Friday 20th this of course all depends on no emergencies coming in and Esmae being well enough to have the surgery.
