A friend and fan of Veronica’s of thirty-five years, I was with her on a road trip to both our childhood homes mid-state Illinois close to each other’s near Route 66 from November 13 to the 15th. We had a beautiful time with her mama, enjoyed a mani-pedi afternoon and made some new friends.

Alas, on her return trip back to upstate New York, she met with an accident on the evening of the 19th about an hour from her scheduled stop for the night. When I asked her if it was time for a GoFundMe, she replied; “If you would it would I’m sure be helpful. For those who can. (heart emoji)”

Note: The ulna break was not only on her writing arm but also her piano, cooking and microphone holding arm.

She’s such a trooper yet it’s going to be tough for a bit.
