Hi everyone,

I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my mother, Laura, who many know and love as “Noot.” What was meant to be a simple mother-daughter trip quickly turned into a life-changing medical emergency when she suffered a major stroke that required emergency surgery.

If you know Noot, you know her heart. She has always been the person who shows up for others — helping anyone in need, checking on people before checking on herself, and giving whatever she has without hesitation. She has spent her life pouring love, encouragement, and support into others, never expecting anything in return.

Noot is now medically ready to begin inpatient rehabilitation as she starts the long road to recovery. As our family supports her healing, we are facing significant and unexpected expenses during this critical time.

Throughout this entire process, I have remained by her side, along with my siblings and many loving family members and friends who have stepped in to help support, advocate, and care for her. While we are grateful for her progress, the emotional and financial strain on our family has been overwhelming.

This fundraiser is to help cover:

• Ongoing rehabilitation care, medical supplies, and recovery needs

• Temporary lodging related to her medical care

• Essential household bills and utilities impacted by lost income

• Daily living expenses and basic necessities during her recovery
