Baby Cameron:
Two members of Wood’s Houston family recently endured a heart breaking tragedy. Clint and Laura McArthur had to face the unimaginable task of saying goodbye to their new born son, Cameron Charles McArthur, after just one month in the world.
Laura, a trainee account manager in the onshore O&M group, and her husband Clint, our marketing manager in the automation and control group, welcomed their first born son on August 5th. Cameron arrived three months early following health complications for Laura. While it was a tense and rocky road for the family in the NICU at Methodist West Hospital, Cameron fought hard and his strength made Laura and Clint so proud as they spent every minute by his side.
Very sadly, Cameron lost his fight on September 3rd, 2018, just shy of being one month old. The McArthur family is heart broken and devastated. As are we, their Wood family.
The emotional trauma and grief of such loss is all consuming for Laura and Clint, as they are supported through this impossibly difficult time by their families.
How can you help?
We want to do all we can to show them love and care from their team mates and work family too, recognizing the tremendous medical costs they have incurred, and of course a funeral for baby Cameron.

- Benefit at Lucky's: 10/03/18
We will host a benefit for the McArthur Family at Lucky's on I-10 October 3rd from 4-7pm.
Lucky's and their gracious vendors have offered to support our cause and help boost donations
by donating a portion of the proceeds from drinks sold during the event. There will also be live
music from special guest Mitch Fralick and his band, The Belly Up Band, as well as a raffle in the
side room.
- Dinners to Go: 10/08/18
The Wood O&M team will be selling boxed dinners, consisting of either of the following:
1. Pork jambalaya, black eyed peas, dinner roll
2. BBQ chicken, black eyed peas, dinner roll
Dinners will be sold for $10 each. A team will be in place at the Thoroughbred parking lot (see
map below) on October 8th to serve meals and fulfill orders. We can take pre-orders as well
as walk-ups the day of the event. For those who'd like to pre-order, registration tables will be
in the Stallion lobby from 9/24 to 10/4 to take your order. You can also reserve your dinner
by sending an email to [email redacted] with the number of boxes you'd like to order.
