For the man who changed my life. Gary Crane

For the man who changed my life. My father, Gary Crane.

My father, Gary Crane, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM tumor) on January 27th 2022. There is no cure for Glioblastoma, only treatments that slow the growth of the tumor to extend life; however, the average life expectancy is 12 -18 months with treatment.

For the man who gave me the world. My father, Gary Crane.

Debbie Crane and Gary Crane married on July 18, 1998 - I was 10 years old. I did not know what it meant to have a father at this age. The life I knew was my mother and myself so having a step father was a new experience. We took vacations, he showed up at my sports games, he made dinner, and he was there for me... all of the time.

For the man who wanted me to be his daughter. My father, Gary Crane.

In 1999, Gary Crane asked me to be his daughter. At this time, I didn't fully understand what he was asking. In my eyes, he was already my father; however, he was asking to adopt me and I would become legally his child. I would carry his last name, he would love, and protect me forever. In 2000, I became Ashley Crane, and life was pretty amazing!

For the man who became my father and showed me love that I'd never known before. My father, Gary Crane.

Gary Crane, to this day, has loved me, supported me, and taught me more than anyone could imagine. He has pushed me to become a better person. He has been there for me through the good times and the bad. He has been and will forever be my dad.

For the man who gave his all to love my mother and myself. My father, Gary Crane.

My dad, has always put my mother and myself before him. He has always always made sure we came first. My mother, Debbie, has a medical issue of her own that is in question which will include biopsies.. ect; however, the day my father was given his news, he was more concerned about making sure my mother's health came first. Just 1 day post brain surgery, he was stating he needs to go back to work to cover medical bills and future expenses to alleviate the financial burden.

From the daughter who isn't ready to say goodbye. My name is Ashley Kusnierz (Crane).

The unexpected news of my father having Glioblastoma has brought sadness, anxiety, and fear to my family. My father is 58 years old. Instead of enjoying the Prime years of his life, he is counting down his days. I'm not ready to say goodbye to my father. I've only been able to have him be my dad for 24 years. There are so many things and life lessons I haven't learned yet from him.

From the daughter who wishes she could give her father the world. My name is Ashley Kusnierz (Crane).

I'd give the world to my father like he gave to me. I wish I could give him the best 24 years like I was given. Unfortunately, time is not an option. There is no telling how fast he will decline, when he will decline, or what to expect when he does decline. In addition, with my father's current terminal illness, my mother's health is also a concern. Medical bills are already coming in and my parents could use some help at this time to assist with medical bills already received, future medical bills, assistance with my father's care as the time comes, my mother's pending medical bills, and whatever curve ball will be thrown in their direction. Any financial assistance/ sharing of this link is appreciated more than words can express.

For the man who loved me unconditionally. My father, Gary Crane.

From the daughter who will forever be grateful to have such an amazing dad to love. -Ashley Kusnierz (Crane).
