For the Love of Stacey

It has been almost a year, since this original ask. In that time, Stacey has gone through, surgeries, chemo and radiation and in August was cancer free.

Unfortunately, in January she experienced pain in her back and after tests was diagnosed with Stage IV Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer. 2 weeks ago, she had a surgery to strengthen the bone in her right leg and starts chemo we hope on Monday, with radiation on her off week to hold this at bay for as long as possible.

The type of cancer she has is doubly aggressive because triple negative means there are not any protein receptors to encourage the fight against the cancer. Also, hers is micro-aggressive, spreading rapidly with a high nuclear grade. The Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer that has now spread to her bones, lymph, and liver. This type of cancer is very difficult to treat because there are few options. While immunotherapy is an option for many it is a risky one for her.

At the moment these treatments make it impossible for her to work. She is a single mom, raising her 11 year old son and fighting the BIG C.
