FOR THE LOVE OF MY NATHAN❤️
Friday, 01/29 I was delivered a devasting news from the hospital that my son was involved in a serious car accident. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center Emergency Room by Medics who happen to be at the scene of the accident. The medical team was worried when seen in the emergency room because of massive blood loss. He was in hemorrhagic shock, with too low blood pressure. His vital signs (BP,HR,RR) stabilized after given 3 units of blood. Nathan had multiple fractures in the hip, leg, spine and jaw that needed 5 surgeries. He has multiple fractured ribs as well. Currently, he is on tube feeding, unable to swallow to get his nutritional support. Nathan had to endure so much pain after 5 surgeries despite the medications taken. Because of COVID visitation restrictions, I was not able to visit during Nathan’s earlier stay in ICU. When I did, I was furthermore heartbroken to see my child in a ventilator not knowing what to expect. The pain and anxiousness felt by the whole family is almost unbearable. However, we are confident that God put Nathan in the good hands of hospital’s care team.
Nathan’s fiancé is currently six months pregnant and both are expecting a baby girl on May 8. Nathan is a loving, caring and kind brother to his siblings Austin11, Jayden7 and 4-yr old Jazmin. He is also kind, loving and caring to the people around him and I am sure that those who really know him would agree.
My son loves the outdoors and enjoys sitting by the beach on summer days. He also likes waterski, canoeing, fishing, crabbing to name a few. I cannot wait to see him fully recovered and able to do things that he loves the most. It is every mother’s dream to see her child living his life to the fullest.
With this, I am asking your generous heart to please support my son in any way you can and give him a second shot at life. Any amount will do and will greatly appreciated. I would also ask prayers for healing and faster full recovery of my Nathan. My family and I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless!
You can send your donations through Zelle or Venmo to Vanessa Kabigting, Nathan’s mom and organizer of this fundraising.
