We are Mickey’s parents, and he is our beloved rescue dog who has completely changed our lives. From the moment his first owner entrusted us to be his parents, we felt honored and deeply responsible for giving him the loving, safe, and healthy life he deserves. Mickey is more than a pet, he became family,

and caring for him through every season of life is a responsibility we take to heart.

Mickey is only one year old, a chihuahua mix full of joy, curiosity, and love for adventure. He lives for road trips, long walks, and chasing squirrels with endless enthusiasm. He stole our hearts with the adorable way he walks and his incredible ability to quickly learn new commands, always eager to please and be by our side.

Recently, our happy, energetic boy faced a frightening and unexpected medical emergency. Mickey swallowed a bone that became lodged in his intestines, requiring immediate and very delicate surgery at the Gainesville UF Hospital to save his life. The experience was terrifying, but we are incredibly grateful that he made it through the operation and is now on the road to recovery.

Unfortunately, the cost of this emergency surgery and ongoing care has placed a heavy financial burden on us. The medical bills are overwhelming—almost as big as the love we have for Mickey. We are doing everything we can to provide him with the care, treatment, and recovery support he needs to return to good health and continue living the joyful life he deserves.
