Mary Francis Blackburn- mother, aunt, friend, sage, healer, fighter. Mary was all of these things and more. She dedicated her life to hope and healing, offering her skills, wisdom, and smile in the darkest corners of human existence. Mary helped us all become our best versions of ourselves, even when we did not see it.
Mary passed on May 16th in California with the love and support of her family and friends. Her battle with cancer outlasted her physical body but not her love, spirit, and devotion she had to all of her loved ones. She will live on in all of us, as we carry with us her lessons, teachings, laughter.
A small committee has convened to celebrate Mary and her legacy. In memory of Mary, we are raising funds to help cover Cole's tuition at New Roads, the fantastic high school he will be attending in the fall. Mary and Cole moved to California to ensure he could attend this very prestigious school and we are so happy to help provide Cole with funds to help offset his tuition.
Please join us in celebrating and memorializing Mary in the best way we know how- by ensuring her son has the brightest of futures learning at a place that values and honors his passions and talents.
