Liam is an 11-year-old boy with the heart of an angel and the spirit of a warrior. He is the youngest of Lalaine’s three children. Lalaine, a devoted, single mom who lost her husband in 2015 and now sells products online just to make ends meet.

Liam’s health battle began when he was just 9 months old. A high fever led to viral encephalitis that nearly took his life. Though he miraculously recovered and returned to being a healthy, active child; his seizures came back in 2016 and worsened in 2017, when a long, severe seizure caused permanent brain damage. Since then, he has been wheelchair-bound and fully dependent.

Through all of the challenges, Liam has remained incredibly sweet, joyful, and full of life. He makes everyone around him smile. He is the happiness of his family, and he is loved so, so much. Liam’s family will never give up fighting for him – whatever it takes. All of the family has sacrificed incredibly until this day, but it is now reaching a point where the resources have run out.

Liam’s therapy was a crucial part of his recovery, but during the pandemic, it had to stop. Not only because the family couldn’t afford it anymore, but also because Liam would cry so hard and hit his therapists. He couldn’t understand what was happening due to his mental challenges, and the sessions only stressed him more. Since then, the family has tried to do therapy on their own at home, but it hasn’t been enough - he still can’t walk.

At the time we are creating this GoFundMe, Liam is back in the ICU and has been there for several days. He is once again in critical condition, and the family is doing everything they can, but they can no longer manage the medical costs on their own. Lalaine cannot work because Liam needs full-time care. The family is humbly asking for prayers and any financial help you can give.
