On August 16, 2017, Erin was experiencing major abdominal pain and swelling.  She was taken to the ER and the initial diagnosis was Stage 4 Colon Cancer.  On the following day, she underwent surgery to remove major portion of her colon along with  other tumors / cancerous tissues on the outside of the colon.  After the pathological examinations, it was determined that Erin had an Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer that had spread inside of her abdominal cavity. Ever since then, Erin has undergone:  completely hysterectomy, 32 rounds of chemotherapy treatments, several doses of nonconventional treatment  including lymphatic therapy, various IV treatments and ozonation of blood. Nick and Erin has depleted all of their savings and retirement on battling the cancer.  Myself and many others have offered to help financially, but they have refused because they had the means to provide for themselves.  However now, they are at the "end of their rope." Even now, their eyes are on God, hoping, praying and believing!  "I have been reluctant to post this but I’ve had a few days to think about it so I’m ready now. I got my results back from the PET scan. My oncologist called Nick Arroyo before I even got home. Whenever a Dr. calls right away you know it’s not good news. After a total of 28 sessions of chemo I still have active cancer with a tumor trying to strangle my colon. Nick and I cried a little bit and I felt sorry for myself a little bit and then I decided that it’s not over until it’s over so it’s back to the drawing board with some different chemo agents because apparently my cancer is chemo resistant. I was so expecting to be done. I had plans to get reconnected and take out my port and move on with life but I’m not done yet. When I found out, I felt guilty because so many people are praying for me that I feel like I’ve let people down, silly I know. So I may have been knocked down but I’m not out. We are not promised tomorrow, please take every opportunity to be loving and kind. Much love to you all! We pray God’s blessings over you." (Erin's FB post on November 3, 2018) I want to raise funds for badly needed daily expenses and other medical care.  Nick has not been able to work taking care of Erin.  Any amount that you can support will be mostly appreciated!  Thank you and God bless you all!
