The Encinal Music program needs a makeover!

Is music a part of your life? Does it bring you joy? Does it provide you with a reprieve from the stresses of daily life?

The Encinal Junior/Senior High School music programs have enriched our students and community for decades! It has helped our children develop emotionally, academically, physically and intellectually. EHS Music has brought our community together. Our music program has a rich history here in Alameda that we would like to continue.

The program at EHS is severely underfunded. The program only receives $1200 per year. The student uniforms are over thirty-five years old. Many of their instruments need repair or are beyond repair. We need to restock and invest in music supplies and resources. This includes sheet music, instruments, strings, rosin, mouthpieces, cleaning swabs, flip books, drum harnesses and much more. We also travel to regional events that are financially challenging to accommodate. The cost of bus rentals and entry fees to attend one of these events is approximately $2300.

EHS has a growing music program that needs your attention! We struggle to meet these financial responsibilities. Please help us support and improve the musical lives of our students and continue a strong tradition of community.
