Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

We are heartbroken to share that Baby Joseph, my precious nephew, passed away on May 29, 2025 after a courageous fight following his premature birth in March. Born with Down syndrome and a complex heart condition called an AV canal defect, Joseph spent his short life surrounded by love, strength, and hope. Sadly, he never got the chance to come home from the NICU.

Though he had health challenges, Joseph was doing well — his passing was both sudden and unexpected.

His parents — my brother and sister-in-law — have shown incredible strength throughout this journey. They spent every possible moment by Joseph’s side, advocating for his care and cherishing every second they had with him.

During this time, they’ve taken significant time away from work. Now, as they begin the unimaginable process of grieving their child, we want to help ease some of the financial burden so they can focus on healing without the added stress of bills and lost income.

We’re raising funds to support them with:

• Household bills and daily living expenses

• Medical costs not covered by insurance

• Memorial expenses (headstone and plot)

• Time and space to grieve without financial pressure
