Dear Family, Friends, and Bowen Community,

If you are reading this, you are one of the beautiful souls walking this earth, trying to make a difference on this journey we call life. I find joy in living simply, in writing, traveling, and learning from different cultures along the way. But above all, what fills me most is seeing others, people and animals alike cared for and happy. I believe kindness, in all its forms, is what makes life meaningful.

That is why my dog, Regus, and I are proud supporters of Refugio Xollin in México a place that has given hope and life to hundreds, and currently more than 300 rescued dogs. This incredible refuge is run by my dear friend Rous Segura, a beautiful soul who has dedicated the last 14 years of her life to saving animals that others have forgotten. She pours all of herself, her time, her energy, and her heart into making sure each dog feels love and safety, often for the very first time.

But today, Xollin is facing its hardest moment. The rent, food, medical bills, and daily care of the dogs have become overwhelming. Without urgent help, the refuge may be forced to close its doors, leaving hundreds of innocent dogs without a home.

Regus (my dearest American Bully) and I, along with many other kind-hearted people, come together every month to help Rous and the dogs of Refugio Xollin. But this time, we need our circle of support to grow. That’s why we created this GoFundMe — to raise big support all at once, to cover all the dogs’ needs and expenses, make improvements, and ensure they are safe and secure while we work on future projects to guarantee long-term financial stability for the refuge.

Every dollar raised here goes directly to Xollin. Even the smallest donation can feed a hungry pup, provide medicine for a sick one, or help make the refuge a better home for all of them.
