For the ICU Staff at Crosshouse Hospital

Hi my name is Craig and I will be running my first marathon in October this year. Until this year I had never run more than 12km in one single go so this will be a real challenge.

I will be running this marathon in honour of Lee Dodds Junior who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Please read below from myself and Lee’s family my reason for doing this and why I would like to raise as much money possible for something that is truly deserved.

For the ICU University Hospital of Crosshouse STAFF

I’m running a marathon for a good family friend of mine, who sadly passed away on the 2nd April 2021, Lee James Dodds was only 32 years old. It’s been a terrible 18 months now dealing with Covid 19 for everyone especially for people who have lost loved ones. Lee James family could only speak highly of all the staff in the ICU at Crosshouse Hospital and how they helped not only them but also their only child Lee James in the way they were treated, comforted him every minute of the day. Sadly though the ICU fight to save Lee James was in vain as by the time they got Lee James it was too late and too big a fight for Lee James. The medical staff of ICU Crosshouse were Simply The Best in Lee’s treatment and love provided in his last days, all the staff of ICU have all tested positive themselves and work so hard for the people of Scotland and the DODDS family would like to reward these heroes of Scotland by raising as much as possible for them to spend on a day out at a spa or where ever they want to do to enjoy a day off. So please help by donating funds and all the best to Craig Chapman for putting himself forward for running the marathon on (date) at (place & time), cheer him on and help him on his way.
