***WANT TO PUT THIS AT THE TOP. JUST A QUICK NOTE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE DONATING:
GoFundMe automatically adds a "tip" for their platform, but it is completely optional. You can click on it and drag it back down to a $1 or $2 before completing your donation. This just came to our attention and want to make sure you're aware that you do not have to pay a large fee.

There are moments in life that change everything, and this is one of them.
Yesterday afternoon, April 11, 2026, in a moment that no one could have prepared for, a devastating single-vehicle car accident changed everything for Shannon Field and her husband, Kegan Field on Cape Cod.
They were both rushed to Cape Cod Hospital, where doctors and nurses fought tirelessly to save them. As Shannon’s condition became more critical, she was life flighted to Boston, where she is now fighting for her life after suffering a stroke.
Right now, her future is uncertain.
Her husband, Kegan spent yesterday in surgery, fighting his own battle.
In the span of just hours, everything changed.
At the center of this unimaginable situation are their children; three lives that depend on them, love them, and need them. What should have been an ordinary day has turned into a nightmare no family should ever have to face.
Shannon is deeply loved. She is the kind of person who gives her whole heart to her family, and especially to her children. Right now, they need that same love surrounding them more than ever.
This is a way for all of us to come together, to stand beside this family in their darkest moment and help carry some of the weight they are facing. The financial burden of emergency care, surgeries, and the days and months ahead are overwhelming, and any support will help give them one less thing to worry about.
Funds will go toward:
• Emergency medical care and life-saving treatment
• Ongoing hospital and recovery expenses
• Travel and lodging for loved ones
• Supporting their children through the days and months ahead
If you can give, please know it means more than words can say. And if you’re unable, please share this and keep this family in your prayers.
Right now, they need strength. They need hope, and they need all of us.
Please keep Shannon, Kegan and their children, Kathryn (13), Michael (11) and Thomas (9) close in your hearts.
Updates will be shared as we learn more about Kegan and Shannon.
Thank you for surrounding this family with love, prayers, and support during this incredibly painful time.
Beneficiary & Fund usage Information
I am the cousin of Shannon and Keegan Field, the injured parties in this accident. Because both Shannon and Keegan were seriously injured, Shannon’s father, David Klaassen, has been designated as the beneficiary and has established The Field Family Trust to manage and distribute the funds.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used for Shannon’s ongoing medical expenses, rehabilitation, and any future long-term care facility needs as she continues recovery in Boston. Funds will also be used to support daily living expenses for their children and husband, including housing, food, transportation, childcare, travel expenses related to medical care, and household bills, as both parents are currently unable to fully care for or support the family during this time.
The trust is named The Field Family Trust, and David Klaassen and Lorraine Klaassen are the trustees responsible for managing the funds on behalf of the family.
