For The Family of Sue Applegate

On Saturday, October 3rd 2020, we all lost an amazing and beautiful soul.

Sue Applegate left us abruptly and without warning that day.
If you are reading this page then the odds are very good that you knew Sue, and even better that you loved her as a warm and caring human being.
In her final 11 years she worked at La Dolce Vita Coffee in Olde Town Arvada and many of you know her from your experiences there.
For those us us who knew her longer, we may remember her warmth as a friend, a student of life and of the universe, a teacher, a mother, or just as a genuinely caring and loving human being.

In my case, she was my 'other' mom. She took me in when I was in desperate need of guidance and support, she taught me, advised me, loved me, and accepted me without reservation. I mean it literally when I say she saved my life.
And I was hardly the only stray she took in and rescued from the streets. There are several of us who owe that woman our lives and maybe more.
I don't have strong enough words to express how much that woman meant to me.. means to me.

Putting together this GoFundMe page for Alice and the family is the very least I can do for that incredible human being I called Mom.

Plans for Sue's Celebration of Life, to be held on October 18th 2020, outside La Dolce Vita, are already underway and all who knew and loved her are welcome.

Unfortunately, when we lose someone to death in this world there are many decisions to be made and many corresponding expenses that then accrue and fall to the family to deal with.
This GoFundMe has been started specifically to help the family deal with those expenses and help them make it through this emotional and financial crisis.

We ask any of you who are in a financial position that allows you to help: please do so and donate something here. Know that every penny that comes through this GoFundMe will be given to Sue's family, specifically to her daughter Alice, to be used to help them get through this as well as possible under the circumstances.
