For the family of Retired Sergeant Raymond Diemer
Donation protected
This is a fundraiser for the family left behind. Raymond was a family man at birth. He and his brothers enjoyed a great childhood on Oriole Road in Levittown down the block from my family. The Diemer boys were close then and grew to be men who were always there for each other. Usually at a great party or barbecue you would find them huddled together telling stories, belly laughing!! Then Raymond met Stephanie and their love story began. She made his gorgeous blue eyes light up!! They married and bought a cute little cottage on Reel Street. They had wonderful gatherings with great food and much laughter! Then came precious Madeline .... Raymond stepped into the father role with such joy!! A few years later little Raymond came along and this beautiful family was complete. The little cottage morphed and changed over the years to a warm inviting home!!
Ray served on the NYPD proudly. He was a enthusiastic crime fighter in the 79 Precinct, luckily he partnered up with my now husband of 35 years! (which he always took credit for) He and my husband were promoted to Sergeant together and went to their separate commands. Sgt Ray went to the 25 Pct and continued to make the streets safe. He finished his illustrious career in NMI back with his buddy and retired from the NYPD!!
Throughout the years Raymond took the family camping, boating, skiing and traveling. Sadly, in the fall of 2019 he was diagnosed with the dreaded cancer. He fought, he rallied and went into remission. This fall, the “C” word returned with a vengeance. He again fought a good fight but tragically succumbed on his beloved Christmas Day.
We are all devastated, he leaves behind his brothers, a multitude of dear friends but not anyone more than Stephanie and their two young children. Madeline is 15 and little Ray is only 10. Unfortunately, with Sgt. Rays’ passing, his pension and the family’s health insurance were discontinued.
I am asking for monetary assistance for this beautiful family so Stephanie can continue to give their children the life that Ray envisioned.
Any amount you can contribute would be a blessing.
