Dr. Irfan-Ul-Haq, Gold Medalist of SEECS/NUST (MS-2007), a doctorate from UPM Spain, an eminent academic and a thorough gentleman returned to Pakistan in 2019 with a mission and passion of nation-building through Education. He was serving at NU-FAST (Faisalabad Campus) as Assistant Professor and inspired many with his knowledge and wisdom in a shorter span of time.

 

Last week Dr. Irfan met an unfortunate accident in Chillas (North of Pakistan) and lost his life at this early stage of his life/career (37 years old). The dependents left behind in Faisalabad include his mother, two unmarried sisters, his wife, and a year-old baby boy (named Ausaf). Irfan’s departure has created an irreparable vacuum for his roles as a son, a father, a brother, and as a husband.

 

His friends and colleagues are still in shock and it's very painful for them to accept the loss of a loving companion, intelligent scholar, artistic soul, trustworthy professional, sportsman, and an enthusiastic tourist.

 

Irfan’s tragic demise is not only a matter of grief for his circle but also a financial setback for his family as they just had surpassed the difficult times of life. Irfan was the only essential provider for his family both financially and emotionally, and dependents may receive “a very minor support” from his private-sector employer.

 

It has been decided that a call for funds be given to cover his family's financial burden during this unexpected time of loss with peace and comfort, support their living, weddings of his sisters, upbringing, and education of his son Ausaf.
