Kirt Darryl Frejo, 51 peacefully entered his spiritual journey on Sunday morning on August 22, 2021 in Bristow, Virginia. He was born on April 3, 1970 in Gallup, New Mexico to Orren Kendall Frejo and Agnes Theresa Barney. He is a member of the Pawnee Nation Tribe of Oklahoma and of the Dine’ Nation and Mexican descent and a great grandchild of Chief WhiteEagle of third generations.
In his youth, Kirt lived in Gallup, New Mexico where he graduated from Gallup High School. Soon after high school, he moved to the Washington, D.C. where he was hired into federal service in Financial Management field. Kirt was committed and served in the federal government over 28 years consisting of honorable recognitions with many promotions from high executive management. Through his loyalty, devotion and the desire to help others, he made numerous contributions not only in the work place but especially to his family. Kirt was highly skilled and had great knowledge in the Budget & Financial management and had great passion to ensure the job was done, he took on unwanted special projects and made lifelong friendships with colleagues within Indian Country which he was deeply proud to serve. Kirt was adventurous, loved traveling to and from the U.S. coastlines and engaged in learning about native cultures that only deepened his great respect for his elders. Above all, Kirt loved Life and God. He was touched by God’s love in his very early age. When he was only five years old, he loved singing “Walk Around Me Jesus” in church.
Kirt’s smile and personality was contagious with a lot of sense of humor, his spirit was so bright to everyone, he made many friends that knew he would do anything for them. He always gave with his heart expecting nothing in return. He deeply loved his family and had a strong influence and a unconditional love for his nieces and nephews. There are no words that can express or how we feel, our Warrior and beloved precious Kirt will deeply be missed and always be cherished in our hearts forever.
