Dear Friends and Community Members,
I write this message with a heavy heart on behalf of Anna’s devoted husband Mark, and their three beautiful daughters Patty, Courtney, and Kimberly.
Many of you know them from the Edison community and Mark’s job with FCPS, and the local and VCU dance communities.
On Tuesday evening August 18th Anna passed away from congestive heart failure after fighting tirelessly in the hospital for several weeks.
Anna dedicated her life as a wife and mother caring for her husband, and raising her three loving daughters, and considered them her greatest achievement. Anna was also very passionate about animals and the fight to prevent the mistreatment of them.
I can’t begin to describe the pain her family is in and the utter devastation they feel, but seeing their suffering is beyond heartbreaking. I write to you to ask for help because in addition to their grief they are burdened with tremendous financial issues.
Mark has been out of work for several months. Both Patty and Courtney are in college with expenses, and their elderly grandmother who lives with them is temporarily in a nursing home rehabilitation center for several months. And now the Choi’s are faced with expensive medical and funeral costs and it is overwhelming for them to handle all of that.
We are asking for your support for Mark, Patty, Courtney, and Kimberly to let them grieve without being overwhelmed by their heavy financial burdens. Funds will go to help with funeral expenses, medical bills, living expenses, and college expenses for the girls.
