As many of you already know, we lost the rock in our family yesterday. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, grandaughter, wife, and mother.
If you were lucky enough to know her, you know you weren't just her friend, you were family.
She was the one we all went to for advice, to vent, the one we called when we had a bad day, or a funny story to tell. She knew just how to treat each of our crazy different personalities and how to handle any situation. We knew she would share our excitement or sadness with us.
We aren't quite sure what happened yet, but we think it was a complication of the surgery she had. It was senseless and so unexpected. That's why I am creating this account. Nobody can prepare for such tragedy. The expenses will go to the family to help with funeral costs and anything else they might need to cover.
We have received an outpouring of love, compassion, and generosity. Thank you will never be enough.
I will ask that you continue to pray for us through the coming days, and as everyone goes home and we all settle into the new normal without Roonie.
As it is hard for us to respond to everyone, we hope you all know how much we appreciate all of you. It has been such a blessing, what this community has done, and continues to do.
Please keep praying, and if it is on your heart to donate, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.
