Hello.

My name is Jennife Dwan and I have been asked on behalf of the Bond children to start a fundraising effort to assist with the many unforeseen expenses a family endures at the sudden unexpected loss of a loved one.

Many of you either knew Peter directly or you know some of his awesome children from the community.

As you can imagine, it is difficult to ask the them to sit down and do such a thing as this while they are making arrangements for their lost father.

I am honored that they have trusted me to put into words the best that I can, the need at this time for financial help in whatever way possible.

Without disturbing them at this time; I have chosen to tell you about Peter from others who have spoken about him since his passing.

Jackie Squillace Laba. This week I am mourning the death of a treasured colleague, Peter H. Bond. I took this picture at his retirement luncheon in 2016. Peter was a man of great faith, courage, intelligence, and humor. He was volatile and self-deprecating. I think I laughed more with him than with any other colleague. He was notoriously late with administrative tasks like lesson plans and grading, but with 6 kids and living with constant pain, it was understandable. He was remarkable and unforgettable. May he Rest In Peace in the realms of glory.

Two years ago, Peter Bond and I had a conversation about how neither of us liked Valentine's Day. We exchanged a couple funny vintage valentines that provided a good bit of laughs. Well, Peter, now I have a reason to look forward to Valentines Day. Always as a reminder of your wonderful friendship and the day of your passing. May I forever look forward to posting a vintage valentines and think of you and smile. xoxo

Just to show you what a fantastic and good man PETER H BOND was, he sent me this video on February 7 just before he died this month. He had the greatest attitude of anyone I ever met. We joked about Dr Loveless on The Wild Wild West show. We had some of the best belly laughs just talking about everything. So joyous…. I know heaven is brighter, lighter, and happier with such a brother as Peter!! Gonna miss ya little man. Love ya more.

Emily Marowitz Mr. Bond was a teacher that brought such a life-changing intensity with him wherever he went, helping me to understand how much, how important, and how far hard-work and consistent effort can take you. His compassion and willingness to help others was second to none. He helped me to recognize that there is brokenness in Education, which is an idea that has guided me through receiving my Master’s Degree in Education.

A vivid storyteller, thoughtful and intentional teacher, and a passionate individual through and through. You will be deeply missed, Peter H. Bond. Thank you for all you’ve taught me.

I believe that just these few comments are enough to know the man we try and honor by helping his family now the way he helped and touched so many in life.
