Matthew McDaid 1987 to 2021Matthew McDaid passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his two young daughters, Shea and Ella. If you knew him, you knew how devoted he was as a father. A Fund for Shea and EllaFamily has reached out to cover burial costs, and in lieu of sending flowers we are asking for donations for Shea and Ella. These funds will be used for education, childcare, and other costs associated with the sudden loss of a parent. Shea's and Ella's mother and grandparents will manage the funds to ensure the girls' needs are met in the short and long term. A Devoted FatherAnyone who knew Matt knew how much he loved his daughters. He loved them more than anything, and he'd have wanted us to spend our time and attention on them rather than decorating a room full of flowers. So for those of you who feel led to honor Matt with a financial gift, please consider sending it to his kids.  A Favorite UncleAt family Christmas, vacations, visits, and random weekend get to togethers, you could usually find Matt either playing with the kids, or taking a nap with a baby on his chest. He was attentive, fun, patient (with kids, at least!), kind, and big-hearted. He'd read stories, play the same game more times than any other adult thought possible, and throw kid after kid in the air or into the pool until you'd have expected him to collapse from exhaustion.Deeply MissedMatt left behind a lot of people who miss and love him. He left this world too early, and his absence leaves behind an ache.
