For The Benefit of Cole Schafer
Donation protected
The Elmwood Place Firefighter's Association in partnership with the Deerfield Township Fire Rescue
has established a GoFundMe for Firefighter Cole Schafer's family. The funds raised will cover all funeral and burial costs.
Cole began his fire service career 3 years ago after attending the Scarlet Oaks Fire Acadmey.
He was then hired by the Elmwood Place Fire Department where he has served for the last 3 years.
At the time of his death he was not only serving the Village of Elmwood Place but also Deerfield Township.
He also formerly served on the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department.
Cole will always be known for his hard work and dedication but more so his love for his friends and family. His smile would light up a room and his enthusiam for anything he did was always contagious.
He always had a hunger and drive to help and to be better, pushing us all to be better at what we do.
Cole will always be remembered for the all around great guy he was, whether he was giving a homeless man a blanket while at a stop light during a patient transport or making us smile at the firehouse, his kindness and compassion always showed.
Although Cole is no longer with us, we will always be a support system for his family. His family and his fire service family are forever connected. We hope to assist by covering all funeral and burial costs with the money rasied. This is just one way we can help support Cole's family during this very difficult time.
