So many of you have reached out to ask how you can help Stan and one of the greatest gifts of compassion would be a fund to help with the education and upbringing of Stan’s 6-year-old daughter, Bizzie.
Earlier this year, Stan was diagnosed with a very high-risk form of Myelodysplasia Syndromes (MDS). He stopped making blood. His bone marrow failed. He was diagnosed with blood cancer. He underwent a bone marrow transplant in October only to be readmitted to the hospital in November to discover somewhere along the line the entire reason for the bone marrow transplant had come to fruition: the MDS had converted to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with characteristics of MDS. Stan decided to start chemotherapy again and battle the cancer. On December 9th, he went into severe septic shock with multi-system organ failure. He decided, by the absolute grace of God, to be removed from life support and passed away December 17th surrounded by his family as we prayed him into Heaven.
Stan’s heart-felt desire was to be around to help raise Bizzie, but he was comforted by his faith of what awaits him on the other side of this battle. It is with joy + gratitude that we thank so many for their support of our family during this difficult time.
