Khalil’s (a.k.a. Soulboy) music touched countless hearts with compassion, authenticity, and extraordinary beauty. Since his passing in February 2025, fans around the world have been honouring him with memorial benches in London, New York, Beijing, and beyond. Now, it’s Melbourne’s turn.

After reaching out to many places, the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria offered the most beautiful and feasible location (Pic 1).

The cost: $12,000 for a 10-year bench tenure.

This bench will be a peaceful place to remember him, sing his songs, and carry forward his message of love. Every donation, big or small, helps us make this dream real.

Why?

Everyone longs to be loved. But rare souls spend their whole lives loving the world back. Khalil Fong was one of them.

Through his music, Khalil shared compassion, authenticity, and extraordinary beauty — inspiring countless people to reflect, change, and live with more courage and kindness. His melodies comforted hearts in dark times, and his resilience and gentleness left an enduring mark on everyone who knew him or heard his songs.

Since his passing on 21 February 2025, fans worldwide have been mourning deeply. Memorial benches are already being dedicated in New York, London, Beijing, and Chengdu, with others in progress in Kauai (Hawaii), Vancouver (Canada), Shanghai, and Haikou.

Now, we want Melbourne to have its own place — where we can sit quietly with Khalil’s spirit, sing his songs together, and carry forward his message of love. I firmly believe that many generations to come will fall in love with Khalil Fong’s timeless music. So let’s have the place ready.
