For Someone I Love — A Call to Come Together
I’m putting this fundraiser together for my cousin — someone I absolutely love with all my heart. She’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone else without ever asking for anything in return. And right now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
Recently, she began her battle with breast cancer. Like so many who face this devastating diagnosis, she has to step away from work while dealing with chemotherapy. The treatments are intense, exhausting, and relentless — and while they fight the cancer, they also take a toll on every part of life.
One of the things people don’t talk about enough is what happens outside the hospital. The everyday things. Groceries. Gas. Utility bills. Rent. All the normal, simple expenses that never stop coming — even when life feels like it’s standing still.
Her husband is doing everything he can. He’s working hard to keep things steady, and their daughter — bright, beautiful, and full of promise — remains the light in their home. As a family, they’ve faced this challenge with dignity and pride. They never asked for help. But that’s exactly why I’m here — because they deserve it.
This isn’t about charity. It’s about love. It’s about community. It’s about reminding each other that no one fights alone. Every dollar we raise will go directly to helping them get through this — to cover basic living expenses, ease the financial weight of medical bills, and give them space to breathe, heal, and focus on beating this disease.
And if, by God’s grace, there is any money left over once the treatments are behind her, that money will be donated to keep this fight going — to help others in her shoes and to continue spreading the message that breast cancer doesn’t get the final word. Love does.
Please consider donating, sharing, or simply holding this family in your prayers. Let’s show them how powerful it is when people come together for one of their own.
