Hi, my name is Antony Parunanthu, and together with Sofiya’s brother, Steeve Govindapillai, we’ve created this fundraiser. Sofiya is my cousin - a warm, strong, and deeply caring woman devoted to her family.

Several weeks ago, her life changed forever: Her beloved husband Charles passed away suddenly at only 36 years old.

Sofiya and Charles had only married in 2018, full of hope for a shared future — a life of love, laughter, and stability.

But Charles was taken far too soon.

He wasn’t just her husband — he was her rock, her best friend, and a loving father to their two young children: Clarissa (5) and Ajay (2).

Now, Sofiya faces the unimaginable: moving forward without him — as a grieving mother and sole provider. She has paused her job indefinitely to be fully present for her children and to begin the grieving process.

But the bills haven’t stopped: funeral expenses, daily living costs, and the full weight of parenthood now fall solely on her.

This is why we’re asking for your help.

With this fundraiser, we want to ease some of the financial pressure on Sofiya — giving her time to breathe, grieve, and care for her children without added hardship.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings her hope and relief.

We can't bring Charles back. But together, we can surround Sofiya, Clarissa, and Ajay with love and support during this dark time.

Bonjour, je m'appelle Antony Parunanthu. Avec le frère de Sofiya, Steeve Govindapillai, nous avons lancé cette campagne de dons. Sofiya est ma cousine – une femme au cœur immense, forte et profondément dévouée à sa famille.

Il y a quelques semaines, sa vie a basculé : son mari bien-aimé Charles est décédé subitement à seulement 36 ans.

Sofiya et Charles s’étaient mariés en 2018, prêts à construire ensemble un avenir rempli d’amour, de joie et de stabilité.

Mais Charles est parti bien trop tôt.

Il n’était pas seulement son mari – il était son pilier, son meilleur ami, et un père attentionné pour leurs deux jeunes enfants : Clarissa (5 ans) et Ajay (2 ans).

Aujourd’hui, Sofiya doit avancer seule – en tant que mère endeuillée, pilier de sa famille. Elle a mis son travail en pause pour une durée indéterminée, afin de se consacrer entièrement à ses enfants et à son deuil.

Mais les dépenses ne s’arrêtent pas : les frais funéraires, les besoins quotidiens et toutes les responsabilités reposent désormais uniquement sur elle.

C’est pourquoi nous faisons appel à votre générosité.

Par cette cagnotte, nous souhaitons alléger un peu le fardeau financier de Sofiya — lui offrir un peu de répit, de sérénité et de temps pour se reconstruire avec Clarissa et Ajay.

Chaque don, même symbolique, fait une réelle différence.

Nous ne pourrons jamais ramener Charles, mais nous pouvons entourer sa famille de chaleur et de soutien dans cette terrible épreuve.
