Let’s Help Sofia Return to Music and Life!

Sofia Zhernovykh is an exceptionally gifted Ukrainian guitarist and a laureate of numerous international competitions. She recently won the Youth GFA (Guitar Foundation of America) — one of the most prestigious classical guitar competitions in the world. And this is just the beginning of her journey.

A year ago, Sofia was involved in a serious car accident. She suffered a compression fracture of her spine and had to undergo two complex surgeries. At first, she couldn’t walk at all. But with courage, hope, and hard work, she began to recover — and even returned to playing the guitar.

Unfortunately, complications arose. Now, Sofia urgently needs one more surgery that will eliminate her pain and allow her to live a normal life, continue her musical path, and fulfill her extraordinary potential.

We’ve launched a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe. The amount we need to raise is €5000.

During this time of war, it’s incredibly hard for musicians and families in Ukraine. But if each of us contributes even a small amount, together we can give Sofia the future she deserves — healthy, joyful, and filled with music.
