If you're reading this, then you're probably a backer for the "For Small Creatures Such As We" Kickstarter. If not, welcome :)

So, here's the situation:

Back in 2022 I came to Kickstarter with an idea for a 60 page zine game called "For Small Creatures Such As We". A love-letter to Becky Chamber's Wayfarers series as well as Star Trek, Firefly, Farscape, and Star Wars. During the first few months of the game's creation, my dad got diagnosed with throat cancer and died late that year. I had to take some time away from work and when I came back, I made the generous but financially foolish decision to make FSCSAW as big and great as possible.

The 60 page zine became a 256 page book and was eye-wateringly expensive to print.

Then came the stretch goals.

I hadn't quite learned not to promise the moon and stars at that point and promised print copies of 3 expansions which all ballooned in size in order to match the epic proportions of the base game. And I'm proud of how they've all turned out.

But in the 4 years since this project began, printing costs and shipping costs have been climbing and climbing. Print alone was £13,916!

Some backers have graciously offered to chip in some extra money to help cover the shipping costs and to help me not end up in the red due to my burst of madness.

All of the money raised from this will go towards shipping backers' rewards.

And don't worry. Everyone will get their books. We just might have to do waves.
