In the past few weeks, Sandy and her family's lives have changed very quickly.

After experiencing concerning symptoms and undergoing extensive testing, Sandy was diagnosed with stage 3B ovarian cancer.

Sandy recently underwent a major surgery that included a hysterectomy, tumor debulking, and additional procedures to remove as much cancer as possible. The surgery was extensive, and recovery has been physically and emotionally overwhelming. Now she is beginning the next phase of treatment: chemotherapy.

While her doctors are hopeful about treatment, Sandy will be unable to work full time for the next several months as she heals from surgery and undergoes chemo. While Sandy plans to continue working part time when she is able, her household is expected to fall short each month for the next six months.

Many people across the Twin Cities know Sandy from her years in hospitality at W.A. Frost, Momento, Thérèse, Mara, and other beloved gathering places. Others know her through her work as an astrologer, hypnotist, writer, artist, and guide.

No matter how you know her, you've likely experienced the same thing: Sandy has a rare gift for making people feel seen.

She listens deeply. She remembers what matters to people. She asks thoughtful questions. She brings warmth, insight, humor, and genuine curiosity into her relationships. Through life's celebrations, heartbreaks, uncertainties, and reinventions, Sandy has spent years helping others find their footing.
